It’s kind of silly that smartphones commonly have as much, if not more, memory than new laptops.
It’s also kind of sucky that phone screens commonly ship as 2560×1440, whereas premium laptops are still 1920×1080.

If we’re going to start fixing the world, then could we tackle the fact that even mid-range laptops are supplied with 1366×768 screens – forcing you to spend £500+ for even a basic laptop. Loving my X1 Carbon which does have a proper screen!
Couldn’t agree more. I certainly wish my T420 ThinkPad didn’t have the awfully pale 1600×900 panel which has about as much colour accuracy as kid with crayons.
But then it’s pretty obvious that the whole hardware sector is suffering for not progressing the state of the art and resting on their laurels for far too long. It’s long overdue for a laptop with a decent screen to hit the £400-500 price point.
