Could I have some advice please? Which handset is - hands down - the best phone for low light photos? Not trying to start a flame war, please :)

  1. This is a hard one for me. You're looking at phones with OIS and bigger pixels. The HTC One A9, the LG V10, and the Nexus 6P as well as the iPhone 6S Plus all come to mind.

  3. The nexus 6P is supposed to be good for low light. Not sure if it really is though... Also the OnePlus X has a pretty good camera but you'll have to put up with their dumb invite system.

And the HTC Desire eye has a great camera, almost as good as the V10s. Neither the V10 or HTC are good in low light though: the LG’s led is too harsh and the HTC is just… Too dark 😛

  5. Guys, thanks very much for your input.

Coming from a Galaxy S4 (13MP/2MP), the rear camera of which was well-regarded on launch back in 2013, it’s something I’d like to definitely improve upon for the next phone. Looks like Samsung is still holding its own here. Hope other manufacturers can/do step up too.

Will Antici – sorry, but for some reason your comments initially got trapped as “spam”, which I didn’t realise at first. I couldn’t see them to start with.
